I had the opportunity to share my views in a recent PR Moment story called ‘Can PR build service delivery into CSR?’. There are differing views on how to build it into the PR offerings. It is evident that employees who perceive their employers to be socially conscious feel more committed and would continue working for them. I argue for greater partnership among stakeholders internally and to tap the power of employees. Brand building from within is more powerful and companies which have a conscience and a social purpose will reap the benefits with or without governmental interventions such as the mandatory CSR 2% recommendation.
